In their first comments since the Federal Reserve joined a global effort to address climate change risks, top U.S. central bank leaders are cautioning no big overhaul of their most visible work is likely.

So far, climate issues don’t appear to be on track to have a big influence on the central bank’s monetary policy work. Instead, most of what the Fed will do on the climate front will happen through its less visible bank oversight work.
