Every Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) facility in the US has been hit by a network outage that started around 12pm ET.

Details about the issues are sparse, but without the locations being online thousands of Americans cannot  complete vehicle registrations and driving licensing tasks.

Illinois Secretary of State made the announcement online: ‘We are currently experiencing a nationwide outage at our DMV facilities.’

What sparked the outage is unknown and no timeline has been announced as to when we can expect services to be back up and running.

This is a developing story… More to come.
