A few weeks ago, Prime introduce ads, charging £2.99 / $2.99 extra for the privilege of avoiding them.

In November, Disney+ introduced price changes too which will affect annual subscribers very soon.

The most obvious way to save money is by cancelling your account.

But how do you decide which one to chop?

Well, a little-known app called Watchworthy might help.

The free platform already offers recommendations based on what you watch.

But the app has just received a new feature that tells you which streaming platforms you have are more “worthy” of keeping than others.

Enter the subscriptions you have and select shows you like and dislike, as well as those you haven’t seen but may or may not be interested in.

It will then provide you with a “worthy rating” percentage.

This breaks down the streaming app it believes you can get most use out of from one to ten.

Secret ways to cut costs of your streaming subscriptions

Those at the bottom end of the scale you might consider cancelling.

It works for audiences in the UK and the US – though it may suggest platforms that aren’t available in the UK, like Max and Peacock.

The app is available for free on iOS and Android.

How to find Worthy Services on WatchWorthy

Open the app and it’ll ask you to select one of four options.

If you’ve seen the show, choose whether you like or dislike it, and for those you haven’t seen whether you’re interest in it or not.

Once it has enough data, it will provide you with a list of recommended shows.

But if you tap the Discover tab along the bottom, then go to Recommended Services, it’ll tell you which streaming platforms are most useful to you.

Other ways to save money on streaming

Another trick you can adopt to save money on streaming is by no longer subscribing to them all at once.

It requires a little bit of planning but instead you could subscribe to one platform at a time.
