PLAYSTATION has been increasing its console production lately with several new gaming peripherals.

The PlayStation Portal, a handheld streaming device for PS5, was in high demand and gamers struggled to get their hands on one.

PlayStation also released a new PS5 model, known by fans as the PS5 Slim, which is a much lighter version of the chunky console.

It seems the company isn’t satisfied with that yet, as further leaks have emerged suggesting that a PS5 Pro could be on the way before the end of the year.

Documents reportedly leaked for the PS5 Pro, which is rumoured to be known internally as Project Trinity.

YouTuber Moore’s Law is Dead, showed screenshots of what they claim are internal PlayStation documents.

The screenshots show specs for Project Trinity, which claims that performance will be vastly improved.

The PS5 Pro will reportedly contain 67 teraflops which could lead to up to three times better performance.

These screenshots also say that ray-tracing will be two to four times faster on the new consoles.

What this means for players is that performance should be greatly improved leading to better load times, and the ability to reach 120fps.

The console will also reportedly use AI upscaling to hopefully reach the 8K graphics that fans have been hoping for.

However, it should be noted that the original PS5 promised 120fps at 8K when it originally launched, which has not been the reality.

Some games run at 120fps but these tend to be smaller titles, and very few reportedly use 8K.

It is believed that some developers already have PS5 Pro dev kits, which would line up with the previously mentioned late-2024 timeframe.

While numerous places have been reporting on this news, it should be noted that none of this is confirmed.

Each source has a history of leaks, but they are not always correct meaning that this information should be treated with scepticism.

This information lines up with what people expect from a PS5 Pro, so it is entirely possible that these are educated guesses at best.
