Even iPhone owners who use Apple‘s rival are impressed, saying it might be time to “bin iCloud”.

Google One Premium plans start from £7.99 with 2TB of storage available which is loads of space to keep your snaps and phone videos.

Back ups work on Google Drive and the Google Photos app, which are both available on iPhone too.

But bargain hunters have noticed that some Google One Premium plans now include two additional perks.

Nest Aware, which offers video highlights with event-based history for your Nest camera devices, normally costs £6 per month on its own.

And Fitbit Premium, with access to workouts and more advanced fitness data, is normally £7.99 per month.

Previously, having all three would set you back £21.98 but now it’s £7.99.

“Looks like a good deal to me; cheaper than iCloud and allows both Apple and Android cross platform compatibility,” one bargain hunter wrote.

“I’m going to bin iCloud 2tb and move to a shared 2tb platform, primarily for sharing and storing photos.”

Another wrote: “Was paying £6/month for nest aware, in addition to £7.99/month for my Google one. So now saving £6/month!”

How to save Google Drive storage

Google offers 15GB of free storage which not only includes your photo and video back-ups but also your Gmail data.

Over time this can build up and reach your limit – but there are some tips to clear some storage quickly.

Firstly, Google has a page that will suggest ways to free up space which you can visit here.

There’s also a quick way to check your account for big files that hog data.

From a computer, log into your Google Drive account and click on the Storage option along the left menu.

Here you will see the biggest files at the top – even deleting a couple of those might be enough to free up loads of space, but make sure it’s something you don’t wish to keep.
