MARCH 10, is known as Mario Day thanks to how the abbreviation MAR10 looks like the plumber’s name.

Nintendo has caught on to the popularity and made a huge number of Super Mario-themed announcements to celebrate.

We were treated to more footage from the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake, which fans can’t wait to play.

However, one of the most exciting announcements is that three Super Mario games will be added to the Switch’s library for free.

All three games are coming to Nintendo Switch Online at no extra cost to subscribers.

Even if you are subscribed to the cheaper tier of the service, you will still be able to access all three games.

The three Super Mario games will be added to Nintendo Switch Online on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, so you won’t have much longer to wait.

First up is Dr Mario, the version of the game that was released for the original Game Boy.

This is a falling-block, tile-matching game where you destroy viruses by matching them up with capsules of the same colour.

Dr Mario was extremely popular in arcades, and we expect this to be heavily played when it is released.

Next up is the version of Mario Golf that was initially released for the Game Boy Colour.

As the title suggests, this is a golf game featuring characters from the Super Mario series that was also very popular.

The final game added to the roster is the Game Boy Colour version of Mario Tennis.

One of the more popular Super Mario spin-off games, aside from the usual tennis modes, there are a number of mini-games and challenges.

Once they are released, you’ll be able to play all of these games from the Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy app.

Games that are added to the app usually stick around, so you’ll have plenty of time if you want to play them.
