SWITCH gamers can snap a choose-your-own-style horror mystery bundle for £1.79 from Nintendo’s eShop over the coming weeks.

The Perseverance set is made up of three parts, which gives players hundreds of decisions to make in a bid to navigate through family conflict and a zombie apocalypse.

But offer will expire on 30 March.

In Part 1 you play as Jack Cutter, a father who is struggling to keep his family together in his hometown Grey Ville.

Cue the mysterious military base near town, where things, take a delightfully horrible turn.

In Part 2, you play as Karen, a calculated assassin on the hunt for a mysterious girl in the remote town.

But what starts out as a simple ‘locate and retrieve’ mission soon turns into a nightmare.

Then in Part 3 you can choose whether to play as Jack or Karen.

And remember: there’s no wrong choices – but gamers are encouraged to “think through each and every step or you may just step off a cliff”.

A review by GameOver on Metacritic called the title “an interesting horror visual novel with mature themes, lots of choices and multiple endings” but added that it needed more from the zombie genre.

“The characters are fleshed out, but the zombie apocalypse story has been used to death in the past and the game would benefit from voice overs which it doesn’t have,” GameOver wrote.

A separate review by Universo Nintendo said: “Perseverance – Complete Edition has an interesting and complex family drama.”

However, the publication added that the game “falls short” when it comes to the horror segments that unless you’re a die hard mystery visual novels fan.
