FORTNITE players were confused last night as it looked like the next phase of the ongoing earthquake live event in the game was about to start.

Nothing major happened yesterday in the game, so fans are now eager to know whether there was a delay and when the next live event will begin.

Fortnite’s latest update introduced strange earthquakes shaking the game’s Battle Royale island and causing cracks.

The occasional small quakes have been occurring ever since and players have been wondering what will happen.

Reliable leakers like FNAssist and Hypex have posted on Twitter/X about the cracks and have been tracking the seismic activity in-game.

According to these trackers, 46 shakes are expected to happen in the coming days, some causing new cracks to appear on the island.

They expect shakes 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, and 46 to produce cracks, and a Titan Hand to emerge after shake number 46.

Fortnite Titan Hand event start time

Following some confusion last night about the exact timing of these shakes, here’s the latest on when to expect them to occur:

  • Shake 9 – 4am UK Time on March 1 / 11pm ET on February 29
  • Shake 18 – 1pm UK Time / 8am ET on March 1
  • Shake 27 – 10pm UK Time / 5pm ET on March 1
  • Shake 36 – 7am UK Time / 2am ET on March 2
  • Shake 45 – 4pm UK Time / 11am ET on March 2
  • Shake 46 – 5pm UK Time / 12pm ET on March 2

It is believed that one hour after the final shake, the Titan Hand will appear from the ground, so the event will start on March 2, 2024, at 6pm UK Time / 1pm ET.

Leaked footage of the Titan Hand event shows that when the hand emerges, players will have to shoot its chains.

Upon lowering the chains’ health bar, the hand will drop a Pandora’s Box and unleash a fire tornado.

What happens next is yet unknown, but the event is surely an important one to Chapter 5 Season 2, which starts on March 8 and will have an Ancient Greek theme.

Recently, a ransomware group claimed to have stolen payment details of Fortnite players in an alledged hacker attack on publisher Epic Games.
