Chemring hailed an ‘increasingly robust’ outlook for the industry as conflicts rage around the world.

The defence group, a world leader in countermeasures to protect fighter jets and warships from guided missiles, said its order book stood at a record £991m at the end of January.

Ahead of its annual general meeting, the FTSE 250 firm said: ‘The outlook for global defence markets is increasingly robust with continued growth expected over the next decade.’
