PLAYSTATION users have been reacting to a mic trick that was recently revealed on Reddit.

The popular Reddit thread is called r/playstation and features users giving out helpful tips and tricks.

User _oldschoolfellow started a thread to ask about PS5 tips from pro players.

Lots of PlayStation fans revealed their tips in the comments.

One standout piece of advance regarded the microphone on the controller.

The PS5’s DualSense controller has a built in microphone that can be used for chats.

One user advised: “Make sure the microphone on the controller is on Mute.

“When the mic is active, the adaptive trigger’s aren’t as good.”

Adaptive triggers are designed to make users feel more immersed in games.

The PlayStation website explains: “Experience varying levels of force and tension as you interact with your in-game gear and environments.

“From pulling back an increasingly tight bowstring to hitting the brakes on a speeding car, feel physically connected to your on-screen actions.”

PlayStation makes no mention of the controller mic making this feature worse.

That hasn’t stopped some users from claiming to have experienced this.

One person replied to the Reddit thread: “Holy, have my Ps5 for about 2 years and never heard about this.”

The trick revealer replied: “Yep! It’s annoying that it’s not clearly mentioned anywhere, as far as I know anyway.”

“Give it a test in a game and toggle mute on and off, it blew my mind,” the added.
