THERE are plenty of games available very cheaply at the moment, but even better than cheap games are free games.

Luckily, there are new free games every week that absolutely everyone can grab.

Epic Games Store gives away a new game every week, with a new free title up for grabs every Thursday.

This means that you only have one week to grab this before the next game is available.

The game for this week is Love, a 2D fast-paced platformer that is stripped back to its roots.

Instead of flashy graphics and animations, gameplay is broken down to pure technical skill.

The blurb reads: “Love is a reductive platforming game with a retro aesthetic and a focus on a challenging difficulty.

“It has a custom respawn system, 16 levels, 12-track soundtrack, competitive scoring, and a simple-to-use level creation feature.

The challenging levels are balanced with the inclusion of a simple yet unique respawn system wherein the player can leave a checkpoint at any location at any point, as long as they are on solid ground.

“Players have a number of gameplay modes to choose from, whether they want it easy, normal, or they want to try their hand at a mode designed specifically for speedrunning.”

If this sounds like the kind of game you would enjoy, then you can pick it up any time this week.

It will be removed from sale on Thursday, January 25, 2024, after which a new game will be given away.

You can pick up Love either via the Epic Games Store website or directly via the Epic Games Launcher.

The launcher is free to download and is required in order to play, so you should grab it while you can.
