A WOMAN known as the Duchess of Thrift has revealed how to use ChatGPT to save hundreds on food shop.

bargain hunter who is known online as ‘The Duchess of Thrift’, regularly shares useful tips online to combat the cost of living crisis.

This time, she has shared the things you must avoid to save up your coins this month.

On a TikTok video, the savvy mum said: “Thought I’d hop on and share some of the ideas I’ve got for saving money in January.

“It’s a long months and we’re all a bit stretched. So the first is have a buying sabbatical so even second hand stuff not buying anything this month.”

To do so, she recommends to avoid a trip to your nearest supermarket and use the ingredients already in your kitchen.

She explained: “Use everything in your fridge and your freezer in your cupboards. Use everything up that you’ve got this month.

“If you’re stuck for recipes, take all the ingredients you’ve got and pop them in ChatGPT. Say ‘give me five recipes’ and it will churn out recipes for you.”

The money-saver also shared other ways to avoid splashing your cash.

She advised savvy Brits to use discounts available on food apps to do your shopping.

The TikToker added: “If you haven’t used the Gousto and got a week’s worth of groceries for less than £20. I would recommend using that.”

“I will use Olio to prevent food waste and get free food or the Too Good To Go app for the mystery supermarket m boxes.”

Lastly, she urged users to be grateful for what they already have instead of looking for the next thing to buy.

She said: “And really important I write a gratitude list every morning and I’m grateful for what I’ve got.”

The video has already amassed hundreds of views and more than 700 likes from fellow savvy users.

Dozens flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts and personal tips.

One user said: “I live alone so only me to shop for, I did an online shop week before Christmas and filled freezer cupboards just need bread so won’t shop till mid February.”

Another added: “Gratitude list is wonderful.”

A third penned: “This is brilliant advice that everyone can use.”

It comes as the content creator shared how she will be keeping warm this winter, without needing to turn the heating on.
