Cruise giant Carnival is eyeing another year of record sales and profit in 2024.

The company, whose lines include P&O Cruises and Cunard, which operates the Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria, has cashed in on demand for post-pandemic travel.

Despite the cost of living squeeze hitting families, British consumers are flocking back, Carnival said.

Chief executive Josh Weinstein said it was entering 2024 with ‘the best booked position we have ever seen’.

Nearly two-thirds of berths for 2024 are already filled.
