ONEPLUS fans can expect to save a bit of money next year with a brand new budget handset on the way.
For the first time, the company is bringing the cheaper R series Android device to the UK and the US.

This particularly line was previously only available in India and China.
At a global launch event in January, OnePlus will reveal its new flagship for the masses, as well as a brand new OnePlus 12R for everyone.
We don’t know anything about prices just yet.
And we still have no idea what the specs will be like.

But if the much-loved 11R is anything to go by, the 12R should be around £400 / $500.
The OnePlus 12R is due to launch on January 24, 2024 alongside the big beast, OnePlus 12.
It’s already available in OnePlus home ground, China.
“In addition to India, this time we will launch the OnePlus 12R in North America, Europe, and other parts of the world as well,” OnePlus president Kinder Liu said.

“Regardless of where people reside, they will have the opportunity to experience the OnePlus R Series.
“So the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R will soon be available globally.”
Fans of OnePlus have had mixed reaction about the R series.
“It looks like it’ll be a nice year for OnePlus,” one user wrote on Reddit.
“I’m seeing a lot of good decisions so far.
“Having more choice is always a good thing, but I really wish they add a compact phone to their lineup.
“I think that’s all they’re missing to really stand out, especially if it has similar specs as the large models.”
Another said: “Super excited for the launch day of the device.”
