APPLE fans are less than impressed by leaked early pre-production designs of the future iPhone 16.
Onlookers on social media say the designs look “hideous” and “boring”.

MacRumours revealed the first look at the variants and hardware configurations that Apple has considered so far.
The publication reportedly created mockups of what the iPhone 16 could look like based on leaked pages of Apple’s internal designs – even down to the exact colours the tech giant is testing.
Apple has prototyped multiple hardware configurations for the iPhone 16 so far – and will likely continue to do so.
So, don’t worry – these are probably not be the finalised designs, as the iPhone 16 is still far from release.

The iPhone 15 design choices, such as the curved frame and a frosted glass back, are thought to be continued through to the iPhone 16, according to MacRumours.
The most obvious difference in design is the vertical camera arrangement, which is similar to the iPhone 12 and a number of Android devices.
It strays from the diagonal design shared by the more recent iPhone 15 and 14.
According to MacRumours’ mockups, early prototypes are being produced in three colours: yellow, pink and midnight.

Leaked documents reportedly suggest other colour options initially developed for the iPhone 15 were previously being tested.
“I hope they choose the second one. We need a new camera design,” one Apple fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Another added: “Still fugly. Gigantic phones with gigantic camera humps.
“Bring back the elegance and beauty of the iPhone 5.”
“These look hideous,” wrote a third onlooker.
Judging by the response on X, iPhone lovers are seeking a bigger makeover than what current designs suggest.
“What ever happened to innovation and risk taking with their devices,” said a fourth commentator.
“I know they’re focused on Vision Pro but damn, the iPhone has gotten so boring.”
