Advisory job: Football ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joined private equity giant RedBird Capital Partners as an adviser.
The former striker will act as a consultant to AC Milan’s management and owners after hanging up his boots at the Seria A club in June.
RedBird bought the Italian giants for £1billion 18 months ago and also has stakes in Liverpool FC owner Fenway Sports Group and the Alpine Formula 1 team.
The firm also has a joint venture with Abu Dhabi’s ruling elite, named RedBird IMI, which is trying to buy the Telegraph newspaper.
Ibrahimovic, 42, will work with RedBird founder Gerry Cardinale on the portfolio.
