POKÉMON Scarlet & Violet is about to receive its final big upgrade, adding all legendaries and starters into the game.

Indigo Disk is coming this week, adding a new area, a huge number of new Pokémon, and new story and challenges to the game.

The best part is that if you already purchased the Teal Mask, then you will upgrade to the Indigo Disk for free.

Here’s everything you need to know to get into Pokémon SV’s The Indigo Disk as soon as it launches.

When does Pokémon the Indigo Disk release?

There is no official launch time from The Pokémon Company, so there could be slight discrepancy for when the servers update.

However, if we look at past Pokémon DLC release times, we know when Indigo Disk is likely to launch.

Pokémon DLC usually launches at 10am JST, which makes sense when the game is made in Japan.

This is what we expect for Indigo Disk, and here’s that release time in your time zone:

December 13, 2023:

  • 8:00pm ET (Eastern US)

December 14, 2023:

  • 1:00am GMT (UK time)
  • 2:00am CET (Central Europe)
  • 10:00am JST (Japan)
  • 12:00pm AEDT (Eastern Australia)

What does Indigo Disk add to Pokémon SV?

The Indigo Disk will be a much larger expansion compared to the Teal Mask, and we’re expecting a lot more Pokémon to be added.

This game is more focused on battling and catching, and you will need to have a strong doubles team if you want to beat the story.

There is also a Terrarium which will host different biomes with different types of Pokémon.

This includes all the previous starter Pokémon and all of the legendaries from previous games.

You’ll also be able to freely fly around the map, and you can take control of a Pokémon via the Synchro Machine.

We’re really looking forward to Indigo Disk as it appears it will give Pokémon fans everything they want.
