Major high street store with 450 locations reveals change to Christmas opening times – exact hours shoppers need to know

A MAJOR high street retailer with more than 450 locations has changed its Christmas opening hours.

Marks and Spencer has extended its opening times to make it easier for customers to shop at a convenient time.

From December 18 to 22 more than 400 stores will be open from 6am through till 10pm.

A number of stores will also be open until 10pm on December 23 and 4pm on Christmas Eve.

Last month, the retailer confirmed to The Sun that all its sites will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day this year.

Just pop your postcode into the store locator tool and you will be able to view the opening times of your nearest branch.

This comes as a number of retailers announced they will be closing their doors on Boxing Day to give staff more time with their families.

Aldi shuts on Christmas Day every year, but this year it will be keeping the shutters down on Boxing day too.

Also, discounter Home Bargains will be shut on December 26 as well as New Year’s Day on January 1.

Frozen food specialist Iceland is following suit and will also remain closed on Boxing Day.

Plus Poundland will be giving its staff a “well-earned break” and also stay closed for December 26 and January 1.

Meanwhile, Waitrose & Partners exclusively revealed to The Sun that it will be closing all 364 of its branches on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The majority of the chain’s shops will then trade normal hours between December 27 and New Year’s Eve.
