According to Fire Stick Tricks, it’s important to deregister a Fire TV Stick as soon as you can confirm that it’s lost.

This is very important if your device has your Prime Amazon account connected with a credit card as your default payment information.

If your Fire Stick is stolen, the thief could start paying for content on your credit card.

Deregistering is easy and only takes a few steps.

On a web browser, sign into your Amazon account.

Go to your Settings and find the Digital content and devices section.

Then, click on Manage content and devices.

You’ll see a Devices tab that contains a list of devices that are connected to your Amazon account.

Select the Fire Stick in question and then click Deregister.

The device will then be removed from your account and you can set up a new one.

If you find the lost Fire Stick, you can always set it up again and reconnect it to your account.

HOW TO SET UP AMAZON FIRE TV STICK
