AMAZON Fire TV owners are not impressed with the latest change to their devices.

We recently heard that the tech giant was planning to ramp up adverts across its Fire products which already annoyed users.

Now we’re starting to see just how far these ads will go with reports that full screen promos have started appearing as soon as you switch it on.

And it hasn’t gone down well with Fire TV and Fire TV Stick fans.

“Seriously ⁦@amazon⁩?” one viewer wrote.

“Full screen ads with audio the second I turn on my TV? Loathe entirely.

“Hit the undo button.”

Another said: “Amazon has really blown it with the full screen ads. VERY annoying!”

A third added: “please stop messing around with the FireTV interface.

“Start at home and stay at home so I can easily navigate.

In a statement to CordCuttersNews, Amazon said: “Our focus is on delivering an immersive experience so customers can enjoy their favorite TV shows and movies, as well as browse and discover more content they’ll want to watch.

“We’re always working to make the Fire TV experience better for customers and have updated one of the prominent placements in the UI to play a short content preview if no other action is taken by a customer upon turning on their Fire TV.”

How to stop ads on Fire TV

It’s not possible to stop adverts entirely on Fire TV devices.

But according to some users, you don’t need to sit through the entire full screen ad that now appears when you switch it on.

Try tapping the down button on your remote and it might take you straight to the home screen.
