MILLIONS of Android users are set to receive a FREE phone upgrade – a new call button that lets you respond without talking.

The innovative Samsung feature, called Bixby Text Call, has been designed to let users type a message to a caller and have it read aloud to them.

It could be helpful for those with speech impediments, or simply those who don't want to chat over the phone

This would mean the Android owners could take a call without having to actually speak.

It could be extremely helpful for those with speech impediments, or simply those who don’t want to chat over the phone.

A similar system was rolled out by fellow industry giant Apple in their iOS 17 model.

Google has now confirmed the nifty software will be coming to Android soon.

In a statement the company announced: “Plus, you’ll soon have the ability to reply during phone calls by texting a response that’s read aloud — making it possible to take calls without needing to hear them or respond with your voice.”

At present there’s no more information on which regions this will be available in and what languages will be compatible.

There’s also no word what device requirements will be needed to use the handy function.

What is confirmed is it will be delivered as an Android Feature Drop not a Pixel Feature Drop.

It comes as another major Samsung phone update will transform users’ experiences by allowing them to personalise their device’s vibration intensity.

Owners of high-end Galaxy phones know their device vibrates in response to a range of actions including tapping the screen, receiving phone calls, and using navigation gestures.

But a new upgrade will see them able to personalise their phone’s vibration intensity to their liking in a matter of seconds.

Plus, Samsung owners are just realising there’s a free little-known button that lets you take calls with no signal.

It’s been tucked away on your device this whole time – you just need to switch it on.

Simply follow these steps.

And, there’s about to be another big phone update that will bring along a new emoji design, camera app upgrade and more customisation.

The sparkly new operating system will be issued out to Samsung Galaxy devices over the coming weeks under the title One UI 6.0.
