We have a lot to look forward to next year in the world of gaming, and you’ll want to put in the hours now in order to get up to speed.

That’s why we’ve found the perfect deal for those looking for something to play over the holiday season.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is the updated version of the original Dragon’s Dogma.

It brings a new post-game area to the base game, with new enemies and other expanded areas.

More in Nintendo Switch

As Dragon’s Dogma already has a huge open world, it expands the already large map.

The blurb reads: “Set in a huge open world, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen presents a rewarding action combat experience.

“Players embark on an epic adventure in a rich, living world with three AI companions, known as Pawns.

“These partners fight independently, demonstrating prowess and ability that they have developed based on traits learned from each player.

“PC users can share these Pawns online and reap rewards of treasure, tips and strategy hints for taking down the terrifying enemies.

“Pawns can also be borrowed when specific skills are needed to complete various challenging quests.”

The long-awaited sequel, Dragon’s Dogma 2, is reportedly coming on March 22, 2023, according to the PEGI rating.

The exact date will be confirmed next week, but it’s safe to say that it should be around this time.

While you’re waiting for the sequel to be released, it’s a perfect time to dive into the original.

If you play on Nintendo Switch then you can grab an excellent bargain as Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is currently 83% off.

You can grab it for a tiny £4.24 as long as you pick it up before the sale ends. It’s about 30-40 hours in length, so you may need to start playing now if you want to finish it before the sequel is out.
