The ice cream is described as a mixture of chocolate and wafer-flavoured ice cream, with swirls of chocolate sauce and KitKat pieces.

Nestle has explained the ice cream tubs have never officially been discontinued but they have been in and out of stock by in different retailers for several years.

For this reason, the ice cream is often mistaken as discontinued by fans.

One shopper in the Ultimate Food & Snack Finds UK Facebook group said: “The discontinued Kit Kat Ice Cream Tub has made a reappearance at Farmfoods.”

Shoppers quickly remarked that they would be scouring shop shelves for the ice cream.

One user said: “WHATTTT.”

Another said: “Mmmm want it.”

A third user confessed: “I’ll have to get bigger clothes.”

A fourth said: “Omg gonna run down.”

The ice cream tub was also spotted in Home Bargains earlier this year.

The budget store had the ice cream in a Starbuy deal where shoppers could get one for just 99p.

If you are looking to nab this tub you will need to head in-store to Farmfoods.

However, the tub is also listed on the Co-op website for £3.30 but these are only available to order online.

Earlier this week shoppers spotted a new KitKat mint cookies and cream KitKat stocked in B&M stores.

The bar is made of baked wafer – like a classic KitKat, but is topped with mint cookies and cream before being smothered in milk chocolate.

Shoppers went wild for rare KitKat flavours branded ‘by far the best’ never officially released in the UK spotted in TK Maxx.

In other news, shoppers are “hunting down” new Bounty treat spotted on supermarket shelves – but others say it “makes them want to be sick”.

Asda fans are going wild over a new “delicious” dupe that “tastes like” Caramac as iconic chocolate bar disappears off shelves
