Walkers responded to the devastated man and broke the news that crisp lovers have been dreading.

They said: “Sadly they were recently discontinued, but you may still find a few packs on the shelves in the meantime”.

In response to Walkers, the upset man replied: “Can’t see why you’s have chosen to discontinue them would rather have lost the spicy ones, I’ll keep an eye out for any last bags otherwise I’ll have to buy a similar product from Aldi instead, shame really”.

They weren’t the only ones to call out Walkers for their latest product-slashing choices.

One more Twitter user wrote to the crisp company and asked: “Are sizzling steak wotsits now discontinued as well? Can’t find them anywhere anymore”.

Walkers confirmed: “Hi Callum, we’re sorry but sizzling steak Wotsits are no longer part of our range”.

According to the Walkers website, the flavoured corn puffs were suitable for vegetarians, had no artificial colours, no added MSG, and were baked not fried.

In Asda, you could get a six multipack of the crisps for £2.

No wonder so many people have been left miserable following the discontinuation.

But the sizzling steak flavour Wotsits, are just one out of a long string of crisps that have been taken off supermarket shelves recently.

Walkers confirmed it has discontinued Sensations Oriental Crackers Peking Spare Ribs, in a decision that has left shoppers devastated.

A fan tweeted: “@walkers_crisps hello have you stopped doing the peking spare rib sensations? Cannot find them anywhere.”

Walkers’ admin replied: “We’re sorry to break it to you Becky, we’re not making this flavour anymore.”

It comes after the snack maker told customers that it’s no longer making a favourite Quavers flavour that only returned two years ago.

Walkers also confirmed its Worcester sauce flavour crisps is “no longer part of our range” leaving shoppers miffed.

Plus the beef and onion flavour was discontinued last year.

The crisp brand also revealed that it’s made a major change to the recipe of its Thai Sweet Chilli Sensations – and fans are not happy about it.
