Posting the hack on TikTok under the username ‘T-Sply’, he revealed exactly how the handy method works.

You can fix this by heading to your iPhone’s Settings.

From there, go to Accessibility > Display & Text Size and toggle on Reduce White Point.

The more you want to save your battery, the higher you will want to put the slider.

However, it will mean that you will find it much harder reading your phone with the light far more dimmed.

Alternatively, if you are getting ready for bed this hack can be very useful.

This method also helps if you need to give your eyes a break even if you are not going to sleep yet.

Users can also lower the white point on their iPhone to adjust lower the intensity of colors.

If you don’t want to make the hues on your phone warmer, there is a way to just make your screen dimmer.

To do this, Open Control Center by swiping down from the top of your screen.

From there, locate the “sun” icon and then drag the slider to a point where your eyes can still comfortably see.

You can also adjust this by going to Settings > Display & Brightness > drag the slider.

This comes as people are only just realising another simple hack that can maximise battery life – you must avoid a common mistake you’re making at night.

Another mobile phone expert has revealed an additional secret iPhone setting which also drains the battery.

Just go to General in settings, then Background App Refresh.

Next select Background App Refresh again, and then make sure it’s toggled off.
