Amazon.com executives discussed how its pricing policies had a “punitive aspect” on sellers, according to internal documents quoted in newly unredacted portions of the Federal Trade Commission’s monopoly lawsuit against the company.

The commission also said Amazon knowingly raised the number of irrelevant ads on its website to boost profit and alleged that executives intentionally deleted internal messages to thwart the commission’s investigation of the company.
