SHOPPERS are rushing to buy a B&Q sell-out winter gadget that means you won’t have to put the heating on.
Money-savers can’t get enough of the DIY retailer’s heated and winged clothes airer which comes in at £40.

The product has proved so popular it’s currently unavailable to buy online, but it might be worth checking in a few days time to see if it’s back in stock.
The nifty device plugs in to the wall and comes with 18 aluminium bars which heat up and dry your clothes.
It comes with a number of five star reviews on B&Q’s product website page too.
One happy customer says: “Very good alternative to using tumble dryer I use mine with and without power.”

Meanwhile, a third adds: “Love this heated dryer…wish I’d bought one years ago!
“So cheap to run, it can be kept on for hours without worrying about cost.
“I do throw a king sized sheet over it to assist in the drying speed – highly recommended.”

Of course, you should always shop around when buying something like this as you might find it cheaper elsewhere.
You can use websites like Price Spy or Price Runner to compare thousands of products and their price.
The Google “Products” tab on the browser is useful for scanning the internet too.
It’s hard to make straight price comparisons between heated airers as they often have different wattages and therefore cost different amounts to run.
But, you can make a quick comparison in terms of selling price.
You will be hard-pressed to find one cheaper than B&Q’s £40 model though.
Dunelm and Asda both have models selling for the same price tag while Robert Dyas has one for £50 and Argos for £55.
Always be sure to check out the specific features of any heated airer before making a purchase though.
Some can carry higher loads and therefore are more useful for larger families with lots of washing.
Bear in mind some retailers charge you to have an item delivered to your door too, but in most cases you won’t pay to click and collect.
