ONE lucky punter who landed £83,000 on the lottery has revealed how she almost got nothing.
Tamsin Burling, 33, says she learnt a big lesson after scooping the massive sum in the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The mum, who won her share of £1million alongside her Kent neighbors, said her fiancé Craig Billington once tried to talk her out of buying a ticket.
But, she didn’t listen – and now they’ve scooped tens of thousands of pounds.
Craig, 32, looked on sheepishly as Tamsin, whose seven months pregnant with their third child, celebrated the five-figure win.
The mum-of-two said: “I got a letter through the post to join Postcode Lottery a couple of years ago and wanted to play.

“He said ‘no’, but I did it anyway.”
Craig laughed: “I’m eating my words a bit now. These things don’t usually happen to people like us.”
The couple are expecting their next bundle of joy just after Christmas, and say the win couldn’t have come at a better time.
Tamsin said they’re planning to build a new bedroom above their semi’s garage, and intend to finally tie the knot after five years engaged.

She said: “This is the best feeling.
“We’ll be getting married, but will probably wait until the baby’s settled.”
The young family were among 1,600 homeowners in Deal who were lucky enough to scoop a share of the huge prize after their CT14 9 postcode.
Another couple opened up about how the landed a whopping £392,000 in the same draw.
Judy Eastwood and Scott Wood say the win couldn’t have come at a better time as their list of house repairs continues to grow.
And while the couple were just one of three families who won six-figure sums, they got to celebrate with their good pals and neighbours Richard Clements and Sue Lally.
Judy, 57, said there was one thing that they were disappointed about – that their mates were away when they heard of the £392,417 win.
She told Metro: “Wow. I knew we’d won something but didn’t expect to get the big cheque.”

Neighbours Richard and Sue were away visiting family in Hertfordshire when Judy discovered how much they’d both won – so she video-called them with the news.
Judy said: “I’m gutted they’re not here, it would’ve been lovely to share it with them.”
