You can set a PIN for certain apps by making the most of the parental controls feature.
It’s a useful trick for parents who don’t want their kids going on certain apps.

The feature can also be used to help stop family and friends binge watching without you.
Even if they also know the PIN, it can act as a reminder not to skip ahead.
Amazon says on its website: “Turn on parental controls to get a prompt for a PIN before video, apps, and games purchases or starting playback of videos with certain age ratings.”
The feature means users will need to type a four-digit number before entering an app or viewing certain content.

To turn this on, you’ll need to go to the Settings on your TV.
Next, find Preferences and then select Parental Controls.
Enter a PIN to activate your Parental Controls.
After this, you can start selecting the content you want to protect.
Bear in mind that this won’t work for all apps.
Some apps have their own similar features that you can access via the settings within each app.
