The popular shop at The Oracle shopping centre, in Reading town centre, announced they were shutting for good today.

It marks the end of an impressive 24 years in the mall, as shelves were emptied amid huge closing down sales.

The flagship department store was saved from collapse by billionaire businessmanMike Ashley, back in 2018.

However, while the deal saved the chain’s 59 stores and 17,000 workers who were facing the axe, several branches have still closed in recent years.

Despite this, there are still plans to open more sites in Blackpool and Sheffield.

And, the company opened its newest Frasers in the Chantry Place shopping centre in Norwich last month.

Meanwhile, in Blackpool, a Sports Direct is preparing to close its doors for good too with a 20% off sale and make way for a new Frasers in November.

Plus, in Newcastle another branch is planning to take over an existing Sports Direct.
