The tech giant explains on its website: “Voice recordings are used to improve the accuracy of your interactions with Alexa.

“Deleting voice recordings associated with your account may degrade your experience.”

If you use the voice control feature on your Fire TV remote, it’s likely you have lots of recordings stored.

Amazon stores all your verbal requests in a file that you can access.

This data collection is said to help improve Alexa’s accuracy.

If you’d rather delete the recordings, it’s easy to do.

Go to Amazon’s website and login to the account you use for your Amazon Fire TV.

Then, find the Digital Content section and click Manage Your Content and Devices.

Next, you’ll need to find and select the device you want voice recordings deleted from.

In this case it’s your Amazon Fire TV but you can also choose your other Alexa associated gadgets.

Then, you’ll need to select the Manage voice recordings options.

Now, you’ll have the opportunity to delete all the recordings.

Its normal for the recordings to not disappear straight away.

Amazon says: “Voice recordings are visible until the deletion request has finished processing.”
