THOUSANDS of users say popular dating app Grindr is down.

They have been left unable refresh the app and say it’s not working after a mystery outage.

A surge in reports was picked up by Down Detector at around 7pm UK time.

It’s not clear whether the issue is global but users across the UK, Europe and US have complained of issues.

Grindr is yet to say what’s caused the problem too.

Is Grindr down?

As of 7pm GMT on October 3, thousands of users reported that Grindr is down.

More than 1,000 reports were detected by Down Detector’s UK site.

One user said: “Grindr…. down….. anyone has the issue too?”

“Unable to refresh,” another added.

A third commented: “Is Grindr down for anyone else?”
