It’s decided to axe whiteboarding app Jamboard, according to a Workspace post.

The device lets workers interact in real time from a distance.

Google claimed other whiteboard providers – including FigJam, Lucidspark, and Miro – work better for Workspace users.

Google will now work with these companies to move Workspace services Google Meet, Drive, and Calendar, into those existing platforms.

There will be a phased approach to the Jamboard shut down in a bid to streamline the process.

Along with axing the Jamboard app, Google is also winding down support for its £4,000 ($5,000) 55-inch device.

The hardware will no longer receive software updates from September 30.
