A WOMAN who was homeless after university says it’s now happening AGAIN.

Danielle was told she was paying below market rates by her landlord for her shared house in Lewisham, London.

The 25-year-old said the threat of eviction took away her stability and led to stress and anxiety.

“Where you lay your head at night is your sanctuary and if you don’t have that, quickly everything else around you becomes very unstable,” she told BBC Three.

Facing eviction was particularly painful for the freelance personal trainer as she was homeless after university.

She slept in her car and showered at her gym resulting in two mental health breakdowns.

“It made me feel like I was going backwards. That’s what shocked me the most,” Danielle said.

“I worked so hard to get away from being homeless and to be stable. And I’d done so well. It was worrying to undo all that.

“Honestly, being homeless was the worst, worst part of my life. I thought I’d gotten away from it.”

Danielle, who also works in housing, contacted her local council.

They revealed the property did not have the proper licence for a shared house and the eviction notice was invalid.

It comes after Kate Langshaw, 44, and her son Lucas, 7, were given the boot after a row over inheritance between the owner and her “heartless” politician son.

A 98-year-old WWII veteran has also been told to wait six months for a council flat after being evicted from his home.

Alfred Guenigault, a paratrooper at Pegasus Bridge, has been placed into a tiny hostel by Dorset Council while he waits for suitable accommodation.
