iPhone 15 release date

The iPhone 15 became available for pre-order on Friday, September 15.

That means you can secure a unit before the official launch.

But the gadgets won’t actually be on sale until next week – that’s when they turn up in stores and ship out to customers.

The official iPhone 15 release date is Friday, September 22.

That’s true for all four iPhone 15 models.

iPhone 15 prices

Thankfully there’s some good news when it comes to pricing – a big surprise at last week’s Apple event.

The prices didn’t go up this year in the US, and Brits even saw some price drops.

For Americans, the only price change worth noting is that the Pro Max model is $1,199, versus last year’s $1,099.

But Apple has increased the base storage from 128GB to 256GB for this unit, so the price is the same as last year’s 256GB model.

Brits will pay £50 less for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus versus their 2022 counterparts.

And the iPhone 15 Pro is actually £100 cheaper than last year’s model.

Here’s how much you’ll pay for various iPhone 15 models in the UK and US…

  • iPhone 15 – $799 / £799
  • iPhone 15 Plus – $899 / £899
  • iPhone 15 Pro – $999 / £999
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max – $1,199 / £1,199

You’ll pay more if you want to add extra storage, accessories or AppleCare.

Which iPhone 15 models are ‘selling out’ fastest?

Some models sell out faster than others.

So you may find that your chosen iPhone has a delivery delay.

For instance, an iPhone 15 (128GB) in any color in the US has a delivery of September 22.

But we’re seeing later deliver dates on iPhone 15 Pro models.

The iPhone 15 Pro (128GB) in Natural Titanium won’t deliver until Oct 4 – Oct 9.

And the iPhone 15 Pro Max (256GB) in Black Titanium is even more delayed at Oct 16 – Oct 23.

These delivery dates may be pushed even further back as more buyers place their pre-orders.
