RING has announced a brand new product for your pets – and it doesn’t involve cameras.

The Amazon-owned company has introduced tags for lost dogs and cats.

Tags feature a QR code that people can scan.

It’ll automatically ping your phone with a notification letting you know they’ve been found.

Owners can set up a Pet Profile that will display important information too.

This includes details such as any health conditions.

But it’s no AirTag.

The Ring Pet Tag doesn’t feature GPS to track them down.

Instead, you can have a two-way conversation with the person who finds them so you can make plans to get your dog or cat back.

All without showing personal information like contact number.

For now, the device is only available in the US.

It only costs $10 / £8.

Pre-orders for the accessory are available on Ring.com now.

They’ll be shipped out on October 4.
