A NIGHTCLUB promoter who bought a house at auction without viewing it later discovered nightmare conditions inside.

Martin Tulip filmed his visit to the property when he was confronted with paper thin walls, filth on the floor and a nasty toilet.

In one clip Martin burst through one of the paper thin walls, in an attempt to mimic a notorious scene from 70s horror flick The Shining.

When he opened the front door he was met with debris and bags of rubbish in the hallway.

The bathroom was particularly nasty, and the lavatory appeared covered in brown filth. The floor was dirty and the bath was uninviting.

Mr Tulip, a nightclub owner and promoter, appeared to make light of the conditions inside the house he bought at auction.

In one clip a man in a forensic type outfit appeared to start cleaning the lavatory inside the bathroom.

House hunters can snap up bargains at auctions, although the process is littered with pitfalls. Experienced property developers often identify the genuine bargains at house auctions.

First time buyers are advised to carry out thorough checks before buying at auction.

Andrew Parker, managing director of SDL Property Auctions, said auction properties aren’t always cheaper than houses bought through other avenues.
