TIME is running out for the kids to get a letter to Santa before Christmas for a personalised response, with just four days to go.

Under the Royal Mail’s special festive postal service, boys and girls need to post their Christmas lists to the big man and his elves by December 11.

As long as you post it by the deadline, Father Christmas promises he will reply to everyone when he gets a break from wrapping presents.

To get a reply from Santa in English, letters need to be sent to the following address: Santa/Father Christmas, Santa’s Grotto, Reindeerland, XM4 5HQ.

For those who’d like a reply in Welsh, you should write to: Sion Corn, Ogof Sion Corn, Gwlad Y Ceirw, XM4 5HQ.

Before you send it, make sure the address is written clearly on the envelope and include your full name and address in the letter.

When is the last Royal Mail posting date for Christmas?

HERE are the very last posting dates you need to know about so your Christmas cards arrive before December 25 2020.

  • Monday December 21 for 1st class and 1st class signed for and Royal Mail Tracked 48

  • Wednesday December 23 for Special Delivery guaranteed

Sending letters and parcels by international standard delivery have the following deadlines:

South America, Far and Middle East

  • Friday December 18 for Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg

Also don’t forget that you’ll need to pay for postage to send the letter, although you don’t need to include a return envelope and stamp inside.

The price of a first class stamp rose to 76p in March, while a second class stamp will set you back 65p.

Last week, the Royal Mail said the price of a first class stamp will rise again in January to 85p, and to 66p for a second class one.

Royal Mail, which helps Father Christmas to deliver his replies, says your name and address won’t be used for anything else and it will be deleted after Santa has replied.

It adds that brothers and sisters can send letters in the one envelope and still get an individual response, or they can post lists individually if they’d prefer.

You can also send a letter to Santa via your school under the scheme.

In this instance, you’ll still need to include your child’s name for a personalised response, but you can include the school’s address rather than your home address.

Santa has been responding to letters since November 30, but you may need to wait up to ten days to get your letter.

If you’ve waited long enough and still hasn’t received a letter, you can fill in an online form and Santa will then make sure he checks his list twice.

Last year, Santa told us he aimed to get back to children by December 24.

Children have also been able to track Santa’s journey delivering presents around the globe on Christmas Eve in the past.

It was 1963 when Royal Mail first started helping Father Christmas add some extra magic to children’s Christmas.
