As of today, Toblerone fans can purchase the new truffles in shops across the UK.

The new addition to the range has the original taste of Toblerone with a new truffle twist and a brand-new diamond shape.

The truffles have a smooth centre along with the much-loved crunchy bite of honey and almond nougat that fans love.

Customers can get their hands on a 180g box at all of the major retailers with prices starting at £6.09.

And for fans who want to go large, you can also buy a 400g box which includes 41 individually wrapped truffles on the Toblerone website.

This will set you back £21 but you can also have it personalised with a name and special message.

Claire Kamara, Toblerone brand manager said: ”We are so excited to see the reaction to Toblerone Truffles.

“We expect that some fans may be surprised by the new diamond shape of the Toblerone range’s latest edition but, what can we say, we always strive to be different and never square!

“And to those who have struggled with the triangle shape of the classic Toblerone bar, we hope this brings a new way to enjoy the delicious taste of Toblerone chocolate but in an all-new shape and with a mouth-watering truffle centre.”

Fans are thrilled at this new addition to the Toblerone family.

Commenting on a post in the Newfoodsuk Facebook group, one person said: “Need them in my life.”

And another added: “Wow I bet these are amazing.”

While another person tagged their friend and said: “Imagine how amazing these would taste.”

One fan even said: “I think we should just have these in a bowl all the time.”

Earlier in the year Toblerone announced that it would be making a major change to its chocolate bars.

The chocolate brand’s parent company Mondelez International had to change the design on of the mountain depicted on the wrapper to avoid violating the Swiss Act.

Last year, the company announced that it would be shifting some of its production from Switzerland to Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava, as a way to cut costs.

Under Switzerland’s Swissness Act – passed in 2017 – national symbols and Swiss crosses are not allowed on the packaging of products that do not meet Swissness criteria, The Irish Times reported.

The Act also articulates that using Swiss national symbols or anything claiming to be ‘Swiss made’ must contain at least 80% of the product’s raw materials originating from Switzerland.

This increases to 100% for milk and dairy products.

One TikToker revealed that most people eat the chocolate bar incorrectly and shared a hack to social media to make breaking the chocolate easier.

The chocolate bar is also a popular choice for people to pick up at the airport, and one flight attendant reveals why you should always buy a Toblerone before boarding.
