WALKERS has launched two new flavour crisps after teaming up with a popular fast food chain.

The snack giant has introduced the new flavours with Pizza Hut to bring pizza toppings to its Max ridge crisps.

The collaboration is the first time that the two have joined forces, with the new tasty treats hitting shelves this week.

Both the Texan BBQ and Pepperoni Feast flavours are available to buy in Iceland now.

Each crisp is aimed to “replicate a bite-sized Pizza Hut pizza,” say the creators.

The first are inspired by Pizza Hut’s Texan BBQ pizza, flavoured with BBQ chicken and smoky bacon.

Both of the new flavours are suitable for vegetarians too.

A 140g sharing bag costs £2.50, while a multi-pack of five costs £2.

And a 50g grab bag of the crisps will set you back £1.

Jonathan Roberts, senior brand manager at Walkers said: “This mega new brand partnership takes the irresistible ridged experience of Walkers MAX to the next level with Pizza Hut.

“Combining our epic ridges with the mouth-watering flavours of Pizza Hut to deliver a whole new taste sensation, we cannot wait for shoppers to taste their favourite pizzas in a crunchy crisp form.”

Alongside the product launch, each bag will unlock a buy-one-get-one-free deal on all delivery and collection orders at Pizza Hut.

The offer starts on August 14 and snack fans will need to scan the QR code on the bag and complete the online form to obtain the deal.

In recent weeks in the build-up to the launch shoppers have been sharing their enthusiasm to try the new crisps.

One wrote: “Both of these sound fire!”

Another said: “Bet these are good.”

And a third commented: “Ooh these sound nice!”

This isn’t the first time Walkers Max has teamed up with a fast-food chain to bring new collabs to shoppers.

In 2021, Walkers teamed up with KFC to launch Kentucky Fried Chicken-flavoured crisps.

While, in 2020, the crisp-maker launched several flavours inspired by popular restaurants including Nando’s Peri Peri, Las Iguana’s Chilli Con Carne, GBK’s Cheeseburger and Yo Sushi’s Katsu Curry.

There were even two Pizza Express flavours to choose from: the American Hot and and classic Margherita.

Walkers is not the only one either, earlier this year Doritos joined forces with Burger King to bring fans a Flame Grilled Whopper flavoured crisp.

In other news, earlier this year Walkers made a big change to its multipacks and shoppers will be furious.

And, Pizza Hut brought back two discontinued fan favourites to menus after nearly a decade.
