Holidaymakers driving in certain parts of France have been warned they could be fined if they do not buy a windscreen emissions sticker.
The £4 labels, which indicate how polluting a vehicle is, must be ordered from the French government website.
Bordeaux is one of 14 areas that now requires drivers to display the Crit’Air sticker, along with Clermont-Ferrand.

Motorists who fail to abide by the rule face a fine of £58, which rises to £154 if not paid within 45 days. Fines of up to £640 will be introduced from next year when camera-based enforcement goes live.
There are six different types of sticker, based on a vehicle’s air pollutant emissions. The cleanest electric and hydrogen cars require green ‘0’ markers, while the most polluting diesel vehicles need to display ‘5’.
Some areas of France restrict vehicle movements based on their sticker. The capital, Paris, has the strictest regime, with some roads at specific times only open to 0, 1 or 2 marked cars.
The RAC warned that other European countries such as Spain and Switzerland also have emissions regulations.
None of the stickers are valid for the whole of Europe, so UK tourists embarking on road trips will need to check the rules in each country they drive through.
RAC spokesman Rod Dennis added: ‘Within a few years all but zero-emission vehicles will be banned from some city centres.’
The 11 other regions affected are: Aix-Marseille-Provence; Grenoble; Lille; Lyon; Marseille; Montpellier; Nice; Reims; Rouen; Strasbourg and Toulouse.
