Hundreds of Fortnite gamers reported having trouble downloading ‘supervised settings’ today — as servers for the massively popular, multiplayer online video game went down worldwide.

The outage began around 10.22 AM ET, with approximately 512 players reporting issues with their ‘supervised’ settings and at least 300 UK players lodging similar complaints.

Across the total set of complaints documented, 49 percent of disgruntled Fortnite fans reported that they were having trouble even logging on. Another 43 percent said that they couldn’t get connected to a Fortnite server. 

Yet another 8 percent, who had managed to get into the game, were also reporting issues with lags, response times and other game play features.

By 9:55 AM ET today, Fortnite's makers were reporting that the problem had been fixed.

‘I’m getting just a blue screen it says v 2520 on the bottom,’ one user posted to social media, ‘and then it has the epic and unreal logos.’

Another gamer reported that Fortnite ‘says that I have not downloaded Supervised settings.’  

Fortnite’s makers reported that they were actively looking into the issue at 9:13 AM ET today, and by 9:55 AM ET, their team reported that the problem had been fixed.

However, according to the site DownDetector, the recorded reports of issues began to drop back around 11:15 AM ET.
