Airport baggage handling giant Swissport has been forced to set up an email hotline to handle complaints over severance pay for axed staff.
The firm made more than 3,100 redundancies in October due to the slump in air travel.

Under an agreement with unions, workers were asked to take extra annual leave between August and October, but in some cases this pushed employees over their annual holiday allowances.
As a result, Swissport cut the wages allocated for their notice periods, which triggered complaints that some workers were short-changed.
Former staff are understood to be talking to the workplace advisory service Acas about taking action.
One disgruntled former employee said the way Swissport had treated axed staff was ‘morally wrong’.
Swissport said the holiday pay deductions were made in agreement with trade unions.
A spokesman said: ‘As a result of the allocation [of annual leave] a small number of employees were left with a negative balance and therefore their notice pay was adjusted accordingly.’
