ALDI shoppers have been rushing to buy a £7 dupe for an iconic designer perfume that costs £295.

The discount supermarket is selling its own version of the popular Creed Aventus – but for £288 less.

Aldi‘s Lacura His and Her Reign perfumes cost just £6.99 for 100ml, with one designed for women and one for men.

Shoppers across social media have been eagerly awaiting the dupes return after they were first launched back in June last year.

One bargain hunter said: “Does anyone know what these are copies of?”

She shared a photo of the weekly Specialbuys advert depicting what was on offer this week.

The post was met with nearly 30 comments from helpful shoppers letting her know that the scents are in fact version of the pricey perfume.

One wrote: “Def Creed they smell virtually the same.”

Another said: “Think this description might give it away? ‘We’ve decreed this’ x”

A third commented: “Smells so good why send £200 on creed when this is £5.99 my partner wears it it’s lovely.”

A 100ml bottle of Creed Aventus for men costs a whopping £295 on the official website, while the women’s scent costs £260 for just 75ml.

It means that whether you go for Her Reign or His Reign – you’re saving over £250.

According to Aldi, Her Reign has strong notes of floral rose and sandalwood.

While, His Reign has top notes of blackcurrant, apple and bergamot.

Both are described as bold and elegant fragrances that “keep you smelling fresh morning and night”.

Aldi’s fragrances will be available in stores only from July 20 or 23, depending on the store.

Both scents are Aldi’s coveted Specialbuys which means they won’t be around forever and are only available in store.

Each store will have its own stock of the scents and these special items tend to sell-out pretty quickly.

It’s always worth phoning ahead to your local store to check how many they have available.
