Men aged 45, 47 and 58 charged with preparatory acts of terrorism and will appear in Belfast magistrates court

Three men have been charged with preparatory acts of terrorism by officers investigating the attempted murder of DCI John Caldwell.

The police officer was shot multiple times at a sports complex in County Tyrone on 22 February after a youth football team coaching session. His son was with him as he loaded footballs into the boot of his car when the gunmen approached.
