REDDIT appears to have suffered a major outage on Monday.
Thousands of reports regarding Reddit began flooding Downdetector at around 10am EST.

Around 52 percent of reports noted issues surrounding the website.
Another 38 percent of reports flagged problems with Reddit’s app.
The remaining 10 percent of reports noted problems with the server connection.
Some users in Downdetector’s comments said they were having trouble accessing the website at all.
“I thought the whole blackout ordeal was for certain subs, not the entire website. What am I supposed to do at work now?!” one frustrated user commented.
“Is it normal that the whole thing is down?” another Reddit user asked.
“First subreddits are going dark and now Reddit isn’t working well,” another Downdetector commenter added.
Some users in the comments pointed out that the outage may be the result of Reddit protests.

However, this is a website-wide concern.
WHAT PROTESTS?
Protests in the form of subreddit blackouts have been scheduled for Monday in response to a new policy change that aims to charge third-party apps for API requests.
The fees would be in the millions range for some third-party apps, and if they don’t wish to pay, they no longer have access to the platform.
CNN Business noted that the plan has already forced several of Reddit’s top app-makers to shut down.
In response, Reddit co-founder and CEO Steve Huffman said that in order for the website to be a self-sustaining business, Reddit “can no longer subsidize commercial entities that require large-scale data use.”
The company hopes to go public later this year.
