A STUNNED mum was lost for words on finding out she’d won a whopping £10,000 in a TV lottery.
Black Country mum-of-two Helen was taking part in a work meeting when she hit the lottery jackpot live on ITV‘s Lorraine.
The bonanza also came as a surprise to husband Rob, who had no idea his wife had entered the contest in the first place.
Their windfall came when presenter Andi Peters called at their Wolverhampton home today at 9.30am, while keeping in touch with studio host Lorraine Kelly.
He revealed the couple were the latest beneficiaries of the programme’s “Wake Up A Winner” competition.
Rob answered the door first before being joined by a visibly-emotional Helen, who took time to compose herself after being told the happy news in a ticker-tape announcement.
She finally found the words to suggest the cash could go towards her two children and a potential family holiday.
She told Peters – and viewers: “It’s just going to make a massive difference as we’ve got both girls’ birthdays this month and the eldest is going to university.
“We’ve also got family in New York, so hopefully we’ll be able to go.”
When Andi asked Rob whether he knew his wife had entered the contest, he admitted: “Not a clue, as we work at home on Fridays in different parts of the house, so she could have been doing anything.”

But Peters has not always been made such a welcome arrival by winners, including on the channel’s sister breakfast show Good Morning Britain – with one slamming the door in his face and another only eventually coming to the door half-naked.
Another winner, a woman from Essex, scooped £1million in a GMB competition – but left viewers unimpressed by what host Susanna Reid called her “low-key response” to the news.
