Greater Manchester police say officers were not following teenager when he collided with ambulance

A 15-year-old boy riding an e-bike has died in a collision with an ambulance in Greater Manchester shortly after he was being followed by traffic officers, police said.

Greater Manchester police (GMP) said at about 2pm on Thursday the officers began following the boy along Fitzwarren Street in Salford on to Lower Seedley Road but bollards prevented the police vehicle from continuing.
