A MAJOR McDonald’s rival is offering burgers for £1 – but the deal won’t last long.

Tomorrow, June 7, Burger King will offer fans a Chicken Royale reduced by £3.99 via the restaurant’s app for one day only.

The brand is celebrating its first-ever Chicken Royale Day tomorrow.

That means customers can grab the familiar favourite for £1 instead of £4.99, which is its usual price.

The Royale is made from chicken breast, lettuce and mayo all sandwiched inside a toasted sesame seed bun.

There’s also an alternative Vegan Royale included in the deal – this is the same burger but with a vegan patty inside instead of chicken.

The Burger King app is free to download on either the App Store or Google Play and it doesn’t take long to sign up.

You might be asked a few quick details before it takes you through to all the tasty offers for the day.

You can either use the offer at your local restaurant – the deal is available nationwide – or you can have the burger delivered home.

Bear in mind you can find your closest Burger King using the store locator tool on its website.

If you plan on getting a delivery, you’ll get a free Chicken Royale on orders over £20 on Uber Eats.

But that offer is only active tomorrow as well – so there’s no time to waste.

However, the fast food giant says there will be more offers available on the app throughout the week, including a large Chicken Royale meal for just £5.99.

This would save you £3.50 – so keep a look out on the app.

Cheap fast food offers

It’s good to find out how to get cheap food elsewhere for future reference.

For example, you could bag a McDonald’s Big Mac for £1.99 by using a simple code.

You will need an old McDonald’s receipt from a previous trip that’s no longer than 60 days ago.

If you don’t, you can just buy a cheap item quickly to get hold of a receipt.

A 12 digit code will be printed on it and then you just have to enter the McDonald’s “Food for Thought” website and fill out a quick survey about your recent trip.

You’ll then receive a five digit code which is your voucher for the £1.99 offer.

The code can be used at any McDonald’s branch to get a Big Mac and fries for £1.99.

It normally costs £5.29 so you’ll be saving £3.30 through the offer.

And one savvy fan managed to get a Big Mac for half the price – he just ordered two cheese burgers and stacked them together.

You’ll save yourself £1.71 but your cheese burger won’t have lettuce like a Big Mac does and you’d need to remove the ketchup and the mustard too.
