David Pring-Mill, the founder of Policy2050.com, told She Finds that certain apps are worth keeping.

He recommends ketting rid of everything apart from an encyrpted chat app.

That could be WhatsApp or even iMessage.

He says smartphone users should also keep apps that streamline their day or save them money.

Deleting apps is a quick way to boost storage, battery, and even your phone speed.

It means less applications are running in the background on your phone, which can cause a hidden vampire drain effect.

Pring-Mill also says reducing your apps can improve how you spend your free time.

He told She Finds: “As for moments when you think you need a distraction – a distraction is not the same thing as a break.

“Oftentimes, we look for a distraction when we really need a complete pause and breathwork or even a glimpse of nature to recenter.”

Pring-Mill recommends accessing news websites via a browser rather than using apps.

You can also apply this rule to social media apps that can be eaily logged into via a browser.

Alternatively, you can turn off background notifications for apps.

That can help with your smartphone’s battery and speed.

You can also easily set screen time restrictions from problem apps on iPhone and Android.
